The Razzie nominations were announced this morning. This will be a nice little diversion from finishing up my Oscar nominations guesses. (It’s done, don’t you worry. It’ll go up within the hour. I just need a moment to breathe and separate myself from it. This article will be a nice way to do that.)
I don’t even think I covered the Razzies last year. I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to do that, and ultimately I don’t care. But this year, I’m back. I can cover them and feel okay about it.
Actually, let’s look and see what won last year — Emoji Movie, The Mummy… hey look, it’s my Unforgivables list! That’s funny. Baywatch got nominated. Wow, so they basically agreed with me, and then they put on the bullshit nominations designed to get press. Yeah, that sounds like them.
Okay, so let’s see what made it this year. (more…)
I have no idea why I still even track these. It’s not even fun. But we started with the nominees, so we’ll finish going over the “winners.”
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Gods of Egypt
Hilary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party
Independence Day: Resurgence
Zoolander No. 2
Winner: Hilary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party (more…)
I completely forgot the Razzie Awards were a thing. I’ve been so focused on the Oscars and other things.
But you know, we look at these because — they’re there.
Before I even open up the list of nominees — Batman v. Superman… Dirty Grandpa, Independence Day, probably Gods of Egypt… probably a Madea nomination there. I’d love to see Zoolander.
Though they always do weird shit, so I’m sure I’m way off. I am certain they’ve gone all in on the Affleck/Batman bashing. I know they’ll do that.
Let’s see what they’ve gone and done now: (more…)
The Razzies were just announced an hour ago. The hits just keep on coming today. And here you thought I was done posting shit.
I should probably learn not to make myself have to put up ten articles the day before the Oscars when I’m trying to write up a giant article for the next day. But we all know I’m stupid, so why should anything change?
Here are your Razzie winners: (more…)
The Razzie nominations were announced today. Because what better to clear the palate of guessing Oscar nominations than to see what movies they wanted to shit on?
I’m curious to see what they go for, because there’s always some weird shit on there.

The Independent Spirit Awards were also today, but I don’t care about those. The usual people won. Birdman won Picture and Boyhood won Director. Otherwise, your usual cast of characters won and no one is surprised. I don’t care about them.
What I do care about are the Razzie Awards. Because I want to see what they picked as the shit of the shit for 2014.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing them shit all over bad movies. Of course, they always get political and vote for the wrong stuff, but I’m still excited to see what they choose.

These are always fun. This is the Unforgivables list to the Oscars’ Top Ten list.
The thing about the Razzies, though, is that they tend to nominate stuff that’s bad in perception, but not actually as bad as some of the other stuff they didn’t nominate. But it’s hard to quibble about a show that means nothing.
This year, I only had one prediction for the awards, and I haven’t even looked yet, and I know I was 100% right. Because there’s no way it wasn’t nominated.

On the eve of the 2013 Oscar nominations come the 2013 Razzie nominations.
Only fitting. That whole ‘darkest before the dawn’ thing.
Anyway, I don’t care about these at all, but they are amusing, so here we go:
Grown Ups 2
The Lone Ranger
A Madea Christmas
Movie 43 (more…)
Oh hey, the Razzie Awards nominations were announced.
This is fun.
Let’s not waste any time and get right into the “worst” movies of the year:
The Oogieloves in Big Balloon Adventure
That’s My Boy
A Thousand Words
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 (more…)
The 2011 Razzie Awards nominees were announced today. I won’t waste any time. Let’s just get into them. This is the first I’m seeing of them, as I type them, so I’m really excited to see how close they match with my Unforgivables:
Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star
Jack and Jill
New Year’s Eve
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1
I don’t understand the Transformers hatred, but I’ve come to expect it. Otherwise, I understand most of those. Why New Year’s Eve instead of Just Go With It, I don’t know, but I think we all know which film is gonna… twin this award.
Oh, I’m fucking hilarious. (more…)
