The Grinch FTW. The 1966 cartoon with Boris Karloff will always be best, even though I actually enjoyed the hell of the live-action remake starring Jim Carrey (I saw it twice in theaters, and I have the VHS and the Collector’s Edition DVD) which made a ton of money back in late 2000. Besides, that film, is FAR superior to that OTHER live-action Dr. Seuss film, “The Cat in the Hat” (which I only saw ONCE on DVD). And I’m sure you know the 2000 film was nominated for 3 Oscars in the technical categories: Art Direction, Costume Design and Makeup. It ended up winning for Best Makeup, which gave movie makeup master Rick Baker his SIXTH Oscar.
