My Favorite Screenplays of 2012

This is the last one. I promise. After this, no more articles of me talking about stuff I liked.

This is where I talk about all the scripts I really liked in 2012. This is another weird one, since it’s hard to really differentiate between what you see on screen and what was on the page. As someone who writes these things and watches a lot of movies, I can usually tell which films have the good scripts even if I haven’t particularly read them.

This year, it’s pretty obvious what the best scripts were. It’s a very top-heavy year, and it also features a lot of films from auteurs who typically churn out interesting material. So this one was really easy to compile.
